Kim Finley, Trainee
Hi! I’m Kim. I hold a B.S. in Psychology from Cal State Fullerton and am currently training here at Salt Counseling while completing my Master’s degree at Concordia University Irvine’s Townsend Institute. I practice under the direct supervision of a licensed clinical counselor and my university supervisors.
A little about me: I’m a total homebody who loves deep conversations, a strong cold brew, Netflix documentaries, and quality time with family, friends, and my fluffy Aussiedoodle. I was drawn to counseling because I genuinely love getting to know people and creating space for honest, meaningful conversations.
Here at Salt Counseling, I work with youth, teens, and young adults. As a mom of three, I know there can be a lot to navigate while growing up and finding your way: anxiety, stress, depression, questions about identity, relationships, or figuring out what comes next. To meet your specific needs, I am available for in-person or telehealth appointments.
My therapeutic approach is client-centered, grounded in compassion, curiosity, and genuine care for each person and what they’re experiencing. I hope to provide a space for healing, personal growth, and practical tools for everyday life. If faith is an important part of your life, I am always open to integrating it into our work in a way that feels natural and meaningful to you.
You don’t have to figure it all out alone. I look forward to connecting with you and finding a path forward together.
