Stephanie Ragone, APCC 15934

Hi, I’m Stephanie, an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. I live in beautiful San Clement with my husband of 36 years and our English Cream Retriever. With two adult children and numerous life transitions, I have gained valuable life experiences that have led me to the counseling profession I have come to love. In my free time, I enjoy walks with our dog, visiting the beach to relax and reflect, attending women’s Bible Study to foster spiritual growth, and traveling to gain perspectives of different cultures.

My approach to counseling is client-centered, aiming to create a compassionate space for self-exploration. Drawing on psychodynamic principles to understand how past experiences have shaped present behaviors, I integrate CBT, strength-based techniques, EMDR, and other evidence-based interventions to help clients reduce symptoms and embrace new possibilities. By exploring life experiences and personal development of each client, I incorporate mind-body-spirit interventions to promote increased emotional awareness and self-regulation skills, which are necessary for maintaining balance in their lives. Together, we will explore strategies to navigate life’s challenges more easily and develop the skills needed to create a purposeful life.

With a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Concordia University Irvine, I feel well-equipped to work with adult individuals, couples, and families. Additional training in EMDR, Flash, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) provides a framework when working with clients struggling with trauma, life transitions, emotionally destructive relationships, anxiety, and depression. Coming alongside clients to enhance personal understanding, promote change, and create a life with more fulfillment is a tremendous privilege.
