Kimberly Serrano, APCC
Hi, I’m Kimberly Serrano, and I am currently in training to become a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor at SALT Counseling under the direct supervision of my site supervisor. I was born and raised in California and currently reside in Orange County.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton, and I am currently a graduate student at Vanguard University, pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Psychology. My path into counseling was shaped by my experience working directly with individuals facing mental health challenges. While working as a case manager, I saw the importance of compassionate, consistent support and felt called to pursue a clinical role where I could support individuals more deeply in their healing and growth.
I currently work in Orange County as a service coordinator supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. This work is very meaningful to me, as I truly enjoy building genuine, supportive relationships and being a source of guidance for individuals and families as they navigate services and care. Through this role, I’ve had the opportunity to work with individuals across the lifespan and collaborate closely with families and care teams, which has strongly influenced the way I show up with care, empathy, and intention in my work.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, being a mom, cheering on my role as a dance mom, and prioritizing fitness as a form of self-care. I also love going to the beach, taking walks, and spending time outdoors.
I approach counseling with warmth, compassion, and collaboration, creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and supported. My goal is to support clients in building resilience and insight as they navigate life’s challenges at a pace that feels right for them.
Looking forward to connecting with you!
