Kristin Lawrence, AMFT

Hey there, I’m Kristin, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #164125). I was drawn to this work by a deep desire to understand the complexities of relationships, and I feel privileged to walk alongside others as they face life’s challenges with support.

I work with individuals, couples, and families from a psychodynamic lens, with an emphasis on understanding your story and how past experiences shape present patterns. I also weave in experiential techniques so we don’t just talk about change, but begin to feel and practice it in the room. Before becoming a therapist, I spent 15 years as a conflict resolution specialist in settings ranging from legal disputes to complex relational conflicts, which helps me create a steady, safe space for difficult conversations.

I completed my MFT degree at Biola University, which shaped my empathetic curiosity and client-centered posture that honors your values, culture, and faith. I have also completed the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) externship and am trained in EMDR, allowing me to integrate attachment-based and trauma-focused interventions into our work. When I’m not in the therapy room, I enjoy time with my husband of over 30 years, visiting our grandbabies and adventuring with our golden doodle, Finley.
